A frustrated WR asked to be released from his football athletic scholarship. Delmon Robinson (So. 5’11 181 lbs.) was projected to have a limited role in the Bulldogs’ offense this season. West Virginia has a high standard for academic excellence and will not fudge numbers regardless of the talent level. Texas A&M’s Holland to miss another Season

Texas A&M  will be down a WR this season.  WR Roger Holland (Jr. 5’10, 175 lbs.), from Houston, Texas, will miss his second straight season due to the lingering effects of multiple concussions he suffered during his college career. Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman announced today that “we’re not going to play with him.”  “We’re going to sit him down and see how he does a year from now.” His status will be reevaluated in 2010.

Unfortunately, it looks like N.C. State LB Nate Irving (6’1, 235 lbs) could miss the entire season after suffering a broken leg and collapsed lung in a June 28 car accident.
