If you charge just the right amount of money on a stolen credit card, you will probably be reinstated to any team coached by Todd Dodge. WR Forrest Rucker (6’6, 220 lbs.), who was suspended from the team for off-the-field issues, will suit up and rejoin the Mean Green for fall practice.
To recollect, as a true freshman, Rucker was suspended from UNT for the spring semester after being arrested and charged with two felony counts of credit card/debit card abuse. He admitted he made 26 unauthorized charges on another student’s credit card totaling $397.34 at vending machines on campus, fast food restaurants and at Golden Triangle Mall.
The Mean Green are projected to finish just about last in the Sun Belt conference only ahead of newcomer Western Kentucky. Thus, Dodge will need all the players he can get his hands on to avoid another donut in conference play and an overall 1-11 record.
Rucker was reinstated, in part, because the charges were dropped after he completed community service and paid restitution.
As for the Mean Green, I hear they are going to change their name to just Green.
