The Colorado Buffaloes continue to take hits. This time, WR Markques Simas (So. 6’2, 215 lbs.) has been suspended by the team. Simas is quick with great hands. In 2004, Iowa defensive coordinator Norm Parker, who suffers from diabetes, unfortunately had his left toe removed because of a serious infection. Coincidentally, the Hawkeyes won the Big Ten Championship that year and defeated LSU in the 2005 Capital One Bowl, 30-25. This year while on vacation, Parker met the same fate. DePauw, not to be confused with DePaul, is looking for a new head coach. The Tigers’ Matt Walker decided to hang-up his whistle and resigned as head football coach this past Friday. DePauw also needs a replacement to coach the baseball team as Walker also resigned from that post. Ole Miss is back at it again. Top recruit and signee Darius “Tig” Barksdale (6’0, 190 lbs.) was arrested for DUI and driving without a license yesterday morning (August 6th) in Batesville, Mississippi. He was initially pulled over when the Batesville police were searching for a stolen vehicle.
