The 2009 Walter Camp watch list has been released. The Award is given annually to the most outstanding collegiate American football player adjudged by a group of National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I-A head coaches and sports information directors under the auspices of the Walter Camp Football Foundation as the Player of the Year.
This famed award is named after the legendary Walter Camp. Camp, as a player, coach and booster, helped establish college football as one of the nation’s most popular and enduring sports. Last season, this prestigious award was given to the University of Texas quarterback Colt McCoy.
