Oklahoma States’ aerial attack dominates Arizona

It’s getting a little warm in Tucson, Arizona, and I’m not talking about the weather.  Coach Mike Stoops got steamrolled last night at the hands of #9 Oklahoma State and Heisman hopeful Justin Blackmon, 37-14. Arizona’s offensive line, which boasts five new starters was able to protect QB Nick Foles (37/51, 398 yards, 1 TD) but failed to open holes for RB Keola Antolin (13 carries for 22 yards and 1 TD) which made the offense very one dimensional. ...

Dean is a Javelina

Earlier this week we reported that standout wide receiver Delashaun Dean was indefinitely suspended from the Arizona Wildcats for brandishing a firearm at the local IHOP. With his criminal charges looming (Dean has court on Tuesday), he thought it best to trade his Wildcats jersey for a Javelinas. That’s right, Dean confirmed his intentions of transferring to Division II Texas A&M Kingsville. Dean considered several D-II teams but felt he would fit best with a program that has won 7 D-II national...

Arizona’s Dean suspended

Arizona WR Delashaun Dean acted like a wildcat over the weekend which landed him right into a set of cop locks. Early Saturday morning, Dean decided to tip back the devil’s juice and top off the night with a short stack from IHOP. As we all know, when you visit the greasy spoon on North Oracle Road, you always pack some heat because you never know the type of service you will get. Unfortunately for Dean, a patron saw Dean brandish...

Raising Arizona

Arizona coach Mike Stoops believes in second chances. Former Texas receiver Dan Buckner is going to the University of Arizona to continue his collegiate football career. Buckner was dismissed from the Texas football program after being arrested on trespassing and resisting arrest charges on January 13th. The charges stemmed from an altercation between Buckner and his girlfriend, when he refused to leave his girlfriend’s apartment apartment after she asked him to do so. Buckner, if he can manage to...

Give me an S-M-A-C-K!

For those of you who were sitting in the southwest end of Arizona Stadium on Saturday, you probably got a good shot of some idiot Arizona fan who tagged Oregon cheerleader Katelynn Johnson in the head with a bottle causing her to collapse. As a result, she suffered a concussion and was transported to a nearby hospital. After the game, Arizona coach Mike Stoops contacted Oregon’s AD to express his concerns over Johnson and called the incident “disturbing.” One...

From East Lansing to Tuscon

Arizona’s offense has looked anemic so far this season and they have struggled to find a consistent rhythm. Concerns about this has prompted ‘Zona head coach Mike Stoops to make a switch at quarterback. Matt Scott started the first three games of the season but struggled heavily last Saturday against the Iowa Hawkeyes in which he went 14-50 for 50 yards and an interception. Stoops is turning to Michigan State transfer Nick Foles with the hope that he can add...

Playclock Expires On Stoops’ Marriage

Arizona head coach Mike Stoops and his wife have filed for divorce. Stoops, (younger brother of OU headcoach Bob Stoops) made the announcement earlier this week during his weekly press conference. “Sadly, I must make the announcement today that my wife Nicole and I have separated and will be taking the difficult step of a divorce,” Stoops said in a statement. “This is a very hard time for us.
