Buckner Headed To Arizona
Arizona coach Mike Stoops believes in second chances. Former Texas receiver Dan Buckner is going to the University of Arizona to continue his collegiate football career. Buckner was dismissed from the Texas football program after being arrested on trespassing and resisting arrest charges on January 13th.
The charges stemmed from an altercation between Buckner and his girlfriend, when he refused to leave his girlfriend’s apartment apartment after she asked him to do so.
Buckner, if he can manage to stay out of trouble in Tucson, will be a viable weapon for the Wildcats. He played in every game for the ‘Horns this past season and scored 6 touchdowns. He will have to sit out for the 2010 season, but he will have two more years of eligibility for Arizona.
