Arizona's Delashaun Dean (#18) was charged with one count of suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon

Arizona WR Delashaun Dean acted like a wildcat over the weekend which landed him right into a set of cop locks. Early Saturday morning, Dean decided to tip back the devil’s juice and top off the night with a short stack from IHOP. As we all know, when you visit the greasy spoon on North Oracle Road, you always pack some heat because you never know the type of service you will get. Unfortunately for Dean, a patron saw Dean brandish his firearm while eating his pancakes prompting him to call 911.

By the time authorities arrived at the scene, Dean was unarmed as he tried to hide the evidence by tossing his gun under his vehicle. Of course the police officers saw the gun and confiscated it from Dean. Dean was cited and subsequently released.

As a result of his arrest, the star WR was indefinitely suspended from the team for violating team rules and the school’s code of conduct. This is troubling news for the Wildcats as Dean was set to be the top deep threat come 2010. Now that Dean has criminal charges looming over his head, Coach Mike Stoops will have to find a new set of hands to replace Dean.

Lesson learned: DO NOT bring your firearm to IHOP.
