Arizona fan takes aim at Oregon cheerleader

For those of you who were sitting in the southwest end of Arizona Stadium on Saturday, you probably got a good shot of some idiot Arizona fan who tagged Oregon cheerleader Katelynn Johnson in the head with a bottle causing her to collapse. As a result, she suffered a concussion and was transported to a nearby hospital.

After the game, Arizona coach Mike Stoops contacted Oregon’s AD to express his concerns over Johnson and called the incident “disturbing.”

One can assume Johnson was the unfortunate target as a result of the Ducks 44-41 double overtime thrilling win over Arizona.  Johnson, a senior, returned back to campus on Sunday and is reported to be in good health.

Oregon’s Jeremiah Masoli said the act of behavior was uncalled for. Meanwhile, RB LaMichael James emphasized that during the game fans were throwing things on the field and were just plain unruly.

The question remains, where was stadium security throughout this melee?
