Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker was taken with the 26th pick in the first round of this year’s MLB draft earlier this evening. Parker was drafted by the Colorado Rockies and became the school’s 10th first round draft pick. Two Iowa football players were arrested early Saturday morning after a fight at Iowa City’s Vito bar. Running back Jewel Hampton, 20, was arrested for public intoxication and underage presence at a liquor establishment. Witnesses stated that Hampton was causing problems with Vito patrons that soon turned physical. Kentucky’s Derrick Locke will be put on the disabled list after sustaining injuries from a moped accident yesterday night.
