Corp May Start for Trojans on Saturday

USC sophomore QB Aaron Corp will more than likely start in place of Matt Barkley this Saturday when USC travels to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies. The Trojans are coming off of a huge road victory against Ohio State. Matt Barkley, USC’s starting quarterback, suffered a bruised right  shoulder last weekend against the Buckeyes and it is looking as if he will not see action this week. Corp and Barkley were involved in a heated QB competition...

You Stay Classy Tampa

Spectators at USF home football games this season will notice a larger than normal law enforcement presence. No, there’s no free donut promotion for USF football game attendees. Rather, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the Tampa Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, all will be working in sweet harmony to ensure that underage spectators are not partaking in any drinking festivities or having someone else purchase the refreshment for them. Oh yea, forget the fake IDs too...

When UCLA faces off against Kansas State this weekend in the Rose Bowl, they will do so without four of their players. In addition to losing at home to unranked Houston, the Oklahoma State Cowboys may have lost starting RB Kendall Hunter for this week’s upcoming game against Rice. Before the injury, Hunter rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown on 9 carries. Oklahoma State hasn’t released the exact type of injury suffered by Hunter...

OU Loses Gresham For the Season

The hits just keep coming for the Oklahoma Sooners. All Big XII tight end Jermaine Gresham’s career as a member of the Sooner football team is over. Gresham will undergo season ending arthroscopic surgery on his right knee that will take at least 5 months to heal. He injured his knee during practice two weeks ago and missed OU’s season opener loss against the BYU Cougars. Gresham turned down potential millions by not entering this year’s NFL draft and decided to return to OU...

Arkansas Loses Crawford for 4-6 Weeks

Arkansas wide receiver London Crawford will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a broken collarbone suffered in Saturday’s game against Missouri State. The 6’2, 205 lb., senior underwent surgery to repair the collarbone Monday morning.
