When UCLA faces off against Kansas State this weekend in the Rose Bowl, they will do so without four of their players. UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel dropped the hammer on the 4 players and suspended them for Saturday’s game for violating undisclosed team rules. Starting defensive back Courtney Viney, running back Milton Knox, and wideouts Morrell Presley and Randall Carroll are the four players that will sit out this weekend. “When you are a member of a team, you have a special commitment to the entities that make up that unit and to those that you represent,” Neuheisel said in a statement. “When someone falls short in that regard, there have to be consequences, and then, we move on.”
It’s unclear what rules the 4 broke but what is clear is Rick Neuheisel’s disciplinarian approach in Westwood. The Bruins are heading into their game against K-State without starting QB Kevin Prince who suffered a broken jaw in last week’s win against Tennessee as well.
