UF's Hammond catches DUI charge this morning in Gainesville, FL

Florida wide receiver Frankie Hammond ran the WR jet streak a little too well early this morning in Gainesville, Fl. The 20 year old sophomore from Hollywood, Fl, was arrested at 2:09am and was apprehended and taken to the Alachua County jail. Gainesville’s finest pulled Hammond over after he was observed going 45 mph in a 20 mph zone, and was driving uncontrollably on  UF campus streets. Houston plans new stadium

The University of Houston has announced plans to build a new football stadium to replace Houston’s current home of Robertson Stadium. The new stadium, which has yet to be named, will be placed on the same site as Robertson Stadium and is expected to cost around $120M to build. Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker was taken with the 26th pick in the first round of this year’s MLB draft earlier this evening. Parker was drafted by the Colorado Rockies and became the school’s 10th first round draft pick. Kentucky’s Derrick Locke will be put on the disabled list after sustaining injuries from a moped accident yesterday night.
