Articles are a plenty regarding colleges getting hit hard by the recession. One way to curb the economic downturn is to raise ticket prices, parking fees, and concession stands. Some criminal news is coming out of Marshall University. Two defensive backs, DeQuan Bembry and T.J. Drakeford, were both arrested last night for their extracurricular activities. Though details are unclear, the two ball players are currently residing in Western Regional Jail for felony assault of a police officer and misdemeanor public intoxication. The Irish’s top offensive lineman recruit, Matt James, tragically died this past Friday in Panama City, Florida while on his high school spring break. It’s not too often we report about college football teams outside of the United States, but it looks like the University of Waterloo’s entire football team was tested by the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports for steroids.
