Tate Forcier Turns Pro, Signs with the Tiger-Cats

After two turbulent seasons with Michigan, a transfer request to Miami, and a brief stint with San Jose State, quarterback Tate Forcier has finally ended his college football quest and found a new home in the pro ranks.  Over the weekend, the once highly touted quarterback decided to take his talents north signing with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL).   After Forcier dropped out of San Jose State, he teamed up with San Francisco 49ers...

Tate Forcier finds new home in San Jose State

On a warm September day back in 2009, heralded freshman sensation Tate Forcier hit Greg Matthews for a 5-yard TD score with 11 seconds remaining giving the Wolverines a 38-34 upset victory over No. 18 Notre Dame.  The media raved at Forcier’s demeanor during the unlikely winning drive acknowledging a star was born in the Michigan ranks.  Unfortunately for Forcier, after that tremendous victory, he has been anything but a luminary in Ann Arbor. For Forcier, there is...

A QB Controversy in the Making?

QB Denard Robinson, who sprained his right throwing shoulder during a 38-28 loss to Iowa this Saturday, is expected to be healthy for the Wolverines when they face Penn State on October 30th. Coach Rich Rodriguez confirmed that there is no QB controversy and Robinson is still the starter and will play if healthy. For Michigan fans, this may not be a good thing with Michigan 0-2 in conference play. When the shifty Robinson went down early in the 3rd...

CB Troy Woolfolk calls out QB Tate Forcier

Last season when Tate Forcier led the Wolverines in a last second game-winning drive over Notre Dame, it was announced that “a star was born.” Since that victorious September afternoon, Tate Forcier has done nothing for the program to exemplify that cry. At this year’s Big 10 media day, senior cornerback Troy Woolfolk called out the Wolverine’s signal caller for failing to be a leader off the field and failing to show that he deserves to be the starter....

Rich Rod needs to know when to say when

Rich Rod’s tenure at Michigan has been anything but fabulous. He is certainly on the brink with the fans and boosters and improving his record is paramount as he heads into spring practice. With all the pressure to win, is it possible Rich Rod is sacrificing his players’ health for the betterment of his record? This was evident last season with quarterback Tate Forcier. In the first part of the season, Forcier was superb throwing 7 TDs against 2...

Heavy turbulence lies ahead

As Rich Rodriguez kicked off the 2009 season, all signs were pointing to the Wolverines climbing back to the promised land of elite status. However, after midway through the season, the Wolverines did a 180 and headed straight down for a crash landing and the fans are getting frustrated. In two seasons, RichRod has amassed an 8-15 (3-12 in the Big Ten) record. This is unacceptable for a program with such prestige, but don’t fret fans, RichRod is here...

LB Lee is a go

Good news coming out of State College, PA. LB Sean Lee is expected to play this weekend against Michigan despite recent knee injuries. As of late, he has been nursing a left knee sprain, but he participated in practice this week and he is ready to make some big plays in the Big House come Saturday. Last week against Minnesota, Lee had a limited role in Penn State’s 20-0 win. He was primarily used for passing downs, but this weekend...

Michigan wins, Delaware State gets paid

I’m not sure what’s worse—demoralizing a 1AA opponent by gaining 727 total yards of offense or letting a team demoralize you for $550,000. Earlier today, the Michigan Wolverines poured on the beating against Div 1AA Delaware State. Within what seemed like minutes, Michigan was up by three scores. By the end of the game, the final score read 63-6. Michigan broke a school record with 442 total yards of offense in the first half. The 727 total yards from...
