LB Lee is a go

Good news coming out of State College, PA. LB Sean Lee is expected to play this weekend against Michigan despite recent knee injuries. As of late, he has been nursing a left knee sprain, but he participated in practice this week and he is ready to make some big plays in the Big House come Saturday. Last week against Minnesota, Lee had a limited role in Penn State’s 20-0 win. He was primarily used for passing downs, but this weekend...

If you mock those who pray, you pay

The Golden Gophers mascot is an idiot. Watch him mock PSU’s Jerome Hayes as he prays pre-game. Then afterwards, the mascot fist bumps a Gopher cheerleader in hopes to pump-up the the fan faithful. I guess God was watching and wasn’t pleased, Penn State blanketed the Golden Gophers 20-0.

The Juice is being squeezed

Ron Zook is desperate to do anything to get back in the “W” column–especially after Penn State stomped the Illini into the ground on Saturday 35-17. His latest coaching foray is to bench starting QB Juice Williams. He announced this shocking news on his radio show earlier this morning. Zook’s replacement is Washington D.C. native senior Eddie McGee who will face-off this Saturday against Michigan State. At this point, the move may not be a bad idea. McGee just...

Lee doubtful against Illinois

Penn State’s star LB Sean Lee is still doubtful for this Saturday’s match-up against Illinois. He is currently rehabbing his injured knee from the Temple game. Even if he gets back to 100% by Saturday, he will not be in game shape because of the long layoff. However, if Lee plays or not, it shouldn’t be too much of a concern as PSU’s defense is playing great ball considering its youth and on-going injury problems. What should concern the Nittany Lions is their...

Bowman’s A Go

Penn State received good news yesterday with LB Navorro Bowman getting the ok to play in this Saturday’s showdown with Iowa. He practiced with the team on Tuesday and participated in non-contact drills without a problem. Bowman led Penn State with 106 tackles last season and was selected as  a 1st team all Big-Ten LB. The junior has missed Penn State’s last 2 games with a groin injury suffered against Akron. PSU’s linebacking corp has taken a hit recently with Bowman and...

Panic for Penn State

Penn State’s star linebacker Sean Lee sprained his knee in the second quarter of Saturday’s game against Temple. Lee stayed in the game until the fourth quarter but left favoring his left knee. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting that Lee is listed as doubtful for Saturday’s prime time showdown against Iowa, and it’s possible that he may be out for at least 2 weeks. Lee has been a dominant force on Penn State’s defense this season and was just named the...

PSU lands top FB

Penn State lands one of the nations top fullbacks in Zach Zwinak (#1 according to Rivals.com). Zwinak (6’2, 230 lbs.), who hails from Frederick, Maryland a hot-bed for PSU recruiters, turned down offers from top programs such as Virginia Tech, UNC, Michigan, Stanford, California, and Boston College, to sport the blue and white. Zwinak said he particularly liked the HD spread offense and the two-back formation at PSU.  Joe Paterno is a legend when it comes to convincing athletes...
