“The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You” were found scrawled on athletic tape attached to the carpet in Texas A&M’s Bright Football Complex Tuesday morning. The message found written on the tape is a lyric from A&M’s rival Texas’s fight song.   The facilities were burglarized and some football equipment was reported stolen. As of now, no suspects have been named but an investigation is still being conducted. The incident is sure to provide locker room fodder for the Aggies when...

Drama at Duke

Duke football was in the news yesterday as third string running back/defensive back  Tony Jackson (Jr. 5’10 190lbs) was banished from the team for not fulfilling the duties required under the Duke football standard of conduct. Jackson rushed for 259 yards  and  had 106 receiving yards for a TD last year. He also contributed on special teams as well. Jackson was not expected to see the field in anything more than a reserve role capacity this season so no...

EA Sports NCAA 2010 Review

NCAA Football 2010 came out a week ago yesterday much to the delight of fans of college football. The Matador and I have enjoyed the series since its beginning and we have both bought it every single year without fail. I picked up the Xbox360 version last Tuesday during Gamestop’s Midnight Release and spent a couple hours playing Wednesday after work. I’ll start by saying that this game has definitely beefed up the artificial intelligence on the defensive side of the...

Purse-verance

Washington Husky offensive lineman Skyler Fancher got a little more than he paid for last week at a Seattle Chipotle restaurant. The 6’5, 273 lb. Fancher left his 4 barbacoa burritos and sprinted after a teenage thief after he ran off with a woman’s purse at the Tex-Mex fast food chain. Francher and two other men gave chase after the teenager who proved to be pretty quick and agile. The purse snatcher slipped past one of his apprehenders after his tank top ripped sending the good samaritan...

Air Force Falcons

Air Force: Fisher DeBerry’s Air Force Falcons were the premier team among the service academies during his tenure. When DeBerry retired in December of 2006, he amassed an impressive 34-8 record against rivals Army and Navy. Needless to say, Air Force’s replacement to him was going have some very large big shoes to fill. On December 22nd 2006, the Falcons brought in former DeBerry assistant and Air Force grad Troy Calhoun to succeed him. Calhoun brought along with him...
