Duke football was in the news yesterday as third string running back/defensive back Tony Jackson (Jr. 5’10 190lbs) was banished from the team for not fulfilling the duties required under the Duke football standard of conduct. Jackson rushed for 259 yards and had 106 receiving yards for a TD last year. He also contributed on special teams as well. Jackson was not expected to see the field in anything more than a reserve role capacity this season so no need to fret Blue Devil fans.
