Washington Husky offensive lineman Skyler Fancher got a little more than he paid for last week at a Seattle Chipotle restaurant. The 6’5, 273 lb. Fancher left his 4 barbacoa burritos and sprinted after a teenage thief after he ran off with a woman’s purse at the Tex-Mex fast food chain. Francher and two other men gave chase after the teenager who proved to be pretty quick and agile. The purse snatcher slipped past one of his apprehenders after his tank top ripped sending the good samaritan crashing into the front of a car.
The chase lasted around 10 minutes and also included Fancher scaling a fence in the process. Pretty impressive for a guy coming off of two surgeries for a broken leg that was sustained during spring practice. Fancher saw significant playing time on the Husky line last season and should see more of the same this year. In other news, Pete Carroll is rumored to be looking for the purse snatcher with a potential scholarship offer.
