All I ask for is one more round

Florida State just highlighted that past success doesn’t mean a thing. Bobby Bowden has been calling the shots for 34 years in Tallahassee. He won the Seminoles a national title, conference championships, and garnered respect among the college football world. Even with all his success, Florida State would not give him one more year at the helm. A few weeks ago, it was announced that Bowden would voluntarily step down after the Seminole’s Jan. 1 bowl game. Now reports are...

The Matador is saying it now, Bobby Bowden will not be the head coach of Florida State come next season. Not only are the Seminoles 4-5 and face their first losing season in over 30 years, but now the starting QB Christian Ponder is out for the rest of the season with a separated right shoulder. Harris is out with a cervical burn

Florida State’s sophomore LB Maurice Harris is ruled out for the remainder of the season. Harris suffered a cervical burn in last week’s game against Georgia Tech and his MRI confirmed the inevitable. The 6’0 200 pound stud was the fifth leading tackler (15 tackles) on the team and played an integral role on special teams. This is a big loss for the Seminoles as their defense is already suspect. Bowden may have to shuffle some personnel to fill...

Not Retiring After the Season?

In an effort to catch Joe Paterno and claim title to the winningest coach in D-1 college football history, sources have revealed that Florida State’s Bobby Bowden does not plan on retiring at the end of this season. Bobby Bowden has expressed the promise and talent of this year’s team and he believes in 2010 FSU will dominate as they did in the late 90’s. This may or may not be true, but Coach Bowden told his son, Terry Bowden, that he does not plan...
