USC’s starting center Kristopher O’ Dowd, dislocated his right kneecap during a Trojan scrimmage on Monday. The 2008 All Pac-10 Center is expected to undergo an MRI at some point this week which will help to determine a timetable for his return. O’ Dowd suffered the same type of injury to his left kneecap in 2007 that forced him to miss 4 games.
USC incoming freshman Frankie Telfort’s college football career is over before it had a chance to begin. The Trojan was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a heart condition known to be one of the leading causes of death for athletes.
