Harris is out with a cervical burn

Florida State’s sophomore LB Maurice Harris is ruled out for the remainder of the season. Harris suffered a cervical burn in last week’s game against Georgia Tech and his MRI confirmed the inevitable. The 6’0 200 pound stud was the fifth leading tackler (15 tackles) on the team and played an integral role on special teams. This is a big loss for the Seminoles as their defense is already suspect. Bowden may have to shuffle some personnel to fill...

Big 10 strengthens bowl line-up

Starting next season, the Big 10 will have a few new bowl games to consider. The conference signed with the Gator, Texas and Dallas bowls. The conference also extended an eight year contract with the Rose Bowl. In response to adding the new bowls, the Big 10 dumped its affiliation with the Alamo, Champs and Motor City bowls. Boom days for Herron

Unfortunately, he missed the next game and then returned against Wisconsin. However, during his victorious efforts, he aggravated the ankle injury in the second quarter and did not return. The AD just announced that Boom will not be playing this weekend against Purdue...

Iowa down a kick returner

Iowa’s gunning to be #1 in the Big 10, but they will now be without their #1 kick returner in Paul Chaney, Jr. Unfortunately, Iowa just reported that Chaney will miss the rest of the season after he injured his knee in last Saturday’s 30-28 win over the Michigan Wolverines. Though there isn’t a lot of detail, but due to the length of his absence, it’s possible Chaney tore his ACL.  Meanwhile the team will have to find someone to replace the...
