Iowa's Paul Chaney, Jr. will miss the rest of the season

Iowa’s gunning to be #1 in the Big 10, but they will now be without their #1 kick returner in Paul Chaney, Jr. Unfortunately, Iowa just reported that Chaney will miss the rest of the season after he injured his knee in last Saturday’s 30-28 win over the Michigan Wolverines.

Though there isn’t a lot of detail, but due to the length of his absence, it’s possible Chaney tore his ACL.  Meanwhile the team will have to find someone to replace the top returner who was averaging 20.1 yards on eight kickoff returns. He has seven catches for 50 yards this season.

Iowa has a big showdown at Wisconsin this Saturday and Chaney’s playmaking skills will be missed.
