Ohio State’s Daniel “Boom” Herron’s ankle sprain continues to haunt the star running back. As you recall, Boom suffered a high ankle sprain earlier in the season when the Buckeyes trounced the Illini back in September. Unfortunately, he missed the next game and then returned against Wisconsin. However, during his victorious efforts, he aggravated the ankle injury in the second quarter and did not return.
The AD just announced that Boom will not be playing this weekend against Purdue and his return date is still questionable. Brandon Saine will start in place of the injured Boom.
Boom provides a unique running dimension to OSU’s offense, without him, the team is definitely missing a key ingredient.
