CU later McKnight

Photo source: Life.com For all you Colorado fans, you can’t seem to catch a break, unless of course we are talking about a broken fibula. As Thursday’s scrimmage was coming to a close, senior WR Scotty McKnight suffered an injury to his leg. The injury occurred when McKnight was making a sideline catch and was forced out of bounds. He apparently ran into one of the walls and railings that caused him to step awkwardly resulting in his injury....

Mangino to Gill, Turner

Former KU coach Mark Mangino was certainly no martyr, but it looks like the Jayhawks’ Turner Gill is the saint they have been so desperately seeking. Students and fans got a glimpse of the coach’s character during the Members of Leadership Lawrence class this past week. Coach Gill presented himself as a steadfast clean cut coach with the heart of a lion who will not stand for any insubordination. This was evident in his hiring of assistance coaches, “I...

Same Aaron, different Corp

Spring practice is a bit different for former Southern Cal QB Aaron Corp who now takes snaps at Robins Stadium. Last season at this time, he was the projected starter for the top ranked Trojans. After a knee injury sidelined the gun-slinger for much of spring practice, Pete Carroll’s prodigy Matt Barkley took over the team and never looked back. Corp did have one opportunity to shine as a Trojan when he was given the nod to start for an...

UCLA’s lack of depth at tackle helps suspended Hasiak

Either Rick Neuheisel believes in second chances or he is just in bad need of a quality offensive linemen. It’s probably the latter. Yesterday, coach Neuheisel reinstated suspended OL Stan Hasiak. The university announced that he will be immediately eligible to participate in spring practice. Last season, Hasiak was suspended in December for violating team rules. He missed his opportunity to travel with the team to D.C. for the EagleBank bowl against Temple. Since his suspension, Hasiak has been...

Erin Andrews video stalker gets maximum sentence

For all you nuts out there, let Michael David Barrett be the example of why, among obvious reasons, you should not stalk and secretly shoot nude photos of quasi-celebrities, or any person for that matter. On Monday, a federal judge sentenced Mr. Barrett for 2 ½ years for his secretly shooting nude videos of ESPN’s Erin Andrews. It is known that Barrett did this act of voyeurism in at least three cities shooting videos through hotel peepholes. He would...

Is Lane Kiffin the Sexiest Woman Alive?

Lane Kiffin has reached an all time low or high, depending on how you look at it. His charm and personality has landed him on Esquire’s field of 64 for the prestigious “Sexiest Woman Alive” contest. The contest is a single elimination bracket type format presumably paying homage to March Madness. Unfortunately, Kiffin got a bad draw as he is the 16thseed paired up against the #1 seed and the sexy LPGA Natalie Gulbis in the Sports division. However, with your help, he has an...

USC to get its prized recruit

It looks like top prospect Seantrel Henderson will sign with USC this Thursday, according to his father. The 6’8, 300+ pound beast of a player was originally holding out until USC found out what penalties would be invoked for the numerous infractions. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case. Henderson’s holdout was actually based on him waiting for his ACT scores, which much to SC’s delight, were good enough for him to be academically eligible to play. The NCAA...

PSU’s Blue-White game to air on ESPN2

For all you Nittany Lion fans, ESPN2 is providing a little treat for the blue and white. Earlier this month, ESPN2 finalized a deal to air Penn State’s Blue-White game on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The game is free and open to the public, but if you can’t make it to Happy Valley, you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. However, I encourage all to go, as it’s quite the experience to hangout with 70,000...
