The nation will get a good look at Kevin Newsome and company on April 24th

For all you Nittany Lion fans, ESPN2 is providing a little treat for the blue and white. Earlier this month, ESPN2 finalized a deal to air Penn State’s Blue-White game on Saturday, April 24, 2010. The game is free and open to the public, but if you can’t make it to Happy Valley, you can watch it from the comfort of your own home. However, I encourage all to go, as it’s quite the experience to hangout with 70,000 fans during a scrimmage.

During the spring game, you will see 37 letter winners and 13 starters from last season. The Nittany Lions have a lot of hype to live up to and they hope to continue their recent success. Penn State is coming of its second consecutive 11-2 season with a Capital One Bowl win over an arrogant LSU squad. JoePa’s boys finished 8th in the USA Today Coaches Poll and 9th in the AP poll.

The team opens up the 2010 season with Youngstown State as a tune-up before traveling to Tuscaloosa to face the 2009 national champs, Crimson Tide. Spring practice will provide a feel for what the Nittany Lion faithful can expect come kick-off time in September.
