- Highly recruited five star athlete Demar Dorsey has finally found a home that will accept him and his legal and academic issues. The 6’1, 175 lb Boyd Anderson High School star will be showing off his speed at the University of Louisville come 2010.
Dorsey originally gave his verbal commitment to the University of Florida; however, his cousin and Wolverine QB Denard Robinson convinced him to come to Ann Arbor. Dorsey agreed and signed a letter of intent with U of M. Unfortunately, Michigan has strict academic standards and Dorsey failed to meet the requirements despite Rich Rodriguez doing all that he could to help get Dorsey enrolled. As a result, Michigan released Dorsey from his letter of intent opening the doors for Louisville to snag him up.
The young Dorsey is eager to play football and told insidetheville.com that, “I’m hoping I can come right in and make an impact.” There are some concerns surrounding Dorsey and his past as he was twice charged with felonies as a juvenile, but it’s believed that’s all behind him. However, the Louisville camp will keep a close eye on this kid who has all the potential and talent in the world to play on Sundays. Until then, Louisville has its most prized defensive recruit in school history.
