Penn State wigs out for Robinson and the Wolverines

Halloween is being celebrated a little earlier in State College, Pennsylvania. As Penn State is gearing up for the Michigan Wolverines, the coaching staff provided scout-team QB/WR Evan Lewis with some fake long dreads to help further mimic and simulate Michigan QB Denard Robinson. Some PSU players got a chuckle out of Lewis’s new hair-do, but after watching some videotape and Lewis in action, the defense is not laughing one bit at Robinson’s shiftiness and blazing speed. Robinson leads...

A QB Controversy in the Making?

QB Denard Robinson, who sprained his right throwing shoulder during a 38-28 loss to Iowa this Saturday, is expected to be healthy for the Wolverines when they face Penn State on October 30th. Coach Rich Rodriguez confirmed that there is no QB controversy and Robinson is still the starter and will play if healthy. For Michigan fans, this may not be a good thing with Michigan 0-2 in conference play. When the shifty Robinson went down early in the 3rd...

Redemption comes for Auburn’s Newton

After his arrest in Gainesville, FL, in November 2008 on charges in connection with a stolen laptop, Cam Newton’s career as a Division 1 athlete seemed to come to an end. As the legal system played its course, it was learned that Newton had indeed purchased the laptop from a seller he believed was legitimate. However, with his name and reputation tarnished, Newton and his family decided it best to part ways with the University of Florida and transfer from the school. In January 2009, Netwon enrolled at Blinn...

CB Troy Woolfolk calls out QB Tate Forcier

Last season when Tate Forcier led the Wolverines in a last second game-winning drive over Notre Dame, it was announced that “a star was born.” Since that victorious September afternoon, Tate Forcier has done nothing for the program to exemplify that cry. At this year’s Big 10 media day, senior cornerback Troy Woolfolk called out the Wolverine’s signal caller for failing to be a leader off the field and failing to show that he deserves to be the starter....

It’s win or go home for Rich Rodriguez

The single hottest coaching seat in college football burns in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Head coach Rich Rodriguez enters his 3rd and perhaps final season as the Maize and Blue commander-in-chief. Unfortunately, it has not been all glitz and glamour for a coach who took the West Virginia Mountaineers to their greatest success in school history. If the 2009 season is any indication of what is to come, Rodriguez better pack his bags and update his resume. Last season, he...

The Cardinals nab top recruit Damer Dorsey who was unable to gain admittance to the University of Michigan

Highly recruited five star athlete Demar Dorsey has finally found a home that will accept him and his legal and academic issues. The 6’1, 175 lb Boyd Anderson High School star will be showing off his speed at the University of Louisville come 2010. Dorsey originally gave his verbal commitment to the University of Florida; however, his cousin and Wolverine QB Denard Robinson convinced him to come to Ann Arbor. Dorsey agreed and signed a letter of intent with U of...

Michigan wins, Delaware State gets paid

I’m not sure what’s worse—demoralizing a 1AA opponent by gaining 727 total yards of offense or letting a team demoralize you for $550,000. Earlier today, the Michigan Wolverines poured on the beating against Div 1AA Delaware State. Within what seemed like minutes, Michigan was up by three scores. By the end of the game, the final score read 63-6. Michigan broke a school record with 442 total yards of offense in the first half. The 727 total yards from...

Forcier On Track To Play This Weekend

Michigan QB Tate Forcier’s status for Saturday’s game has been in question since sustaining a mild concussion against Iowa. Forcier has been undergoing tests in Ann Arbor with the hopes of being able to play this weekend. The freshman did not practice on Monday after complaining of headaches, but he did do some running during Tuesday’s practice. UM coach Rich Rodriguez said that Foricer will be able to play if he makes Wednesday’s practice. If Forcier’s not ready to go,...
