Paulus Named Syracuse QB

Former Duke point guard, and emotional leader, Greg Paulus was named the Syracuse starting QB earlier today. The 2005 Gatorade Male Athlete of the Year, was a football and basketball  phenom at Christian Brothers Academy (NY) and was heavily recruited by top division 1 programs in both sports. He chose Duke and played basketball for the Blue Devils.

Paulus graduated from Duke this year and made it known that he wanted to continue his football career. After considering a few schools, he decided to return to upstate New York and enroll as a graduate student at Syracuse University. NCAA rules allow him one year of eligibility on the Syracuse football team. It hasn’t taken long for the standout high school QB to impress. Without even playing spring ball with the Orange, Paulus has already won the starting job after the first week of  fall practice.

Paulus was an emotional leader on the floor while at Duke and will bring his intensity and fire to the huddle. He will only play for one season but it will be fun to see what he can do in that one year on the field.
