Hurricanes downgraded to Category 1

QB Jacory Harris is ready to lead the charge for Coach Shannon and the Miami Hurricanes. Unfortunately, if Harris goes down, the Hurricanes will dwindle down to a light shower simply because they only have one back-up QB. In a surprise move, slated back-up QBs Taylor Cook and Cannon Smith both transferred from the program earlier this week.  This leaves only one back-up QB in Coral Gables. On Cook’s transfer, “I’m just going back home to play some football. If I go...

Not Retiring After the Season?

In an effort to catch Joe Paterno and claim title to the winningest coach in D-1 college football history, sources have revealed that Florida State’s Bobby Bowden does not plan on retiring at the end of this season. Bobby Bowden has expressed the promise and talent of this year’s team and he believes in 2010 FSU will dominate as they did in the late 90’s. This may or may not be true, but Coach Bowden told his son, Terry Bowden, that he does not plan...

Vols #1 WR is down, but not out

First it was Austin Rogers, then Denarius Moore, now Gerald Jones is temporarily out. During the Vol’s Saturday scrimmage, junior WR Gerald Jones went down with a high ankle sprain. His injury will force him to sit at least 4-6 weeks. This is extremely costly and worrisome for Kifffin and crew as the Vols are running out of any go-to or experienced receivers as the season kicks-off. Tennessee has two big early match-ups as the Vols face UCLA September 12th...

Pelini Sends Clear Message to Team

Nebraska’s legs just took a hit this weekend. Coach Bo Pelini dismissed Quentin Castille from the Cornhuskers. Per the norm, Castille’s dismissal was for violation of team rules. Pelini is a strict enforcer of team rules and believes everyone on the team must abide by the rules regardless of where the player stands on the depth chart. “It’s pretty black and white my expectations and what we lay out as a staff, and if someone doesn’t follow those policies...
