Maryland is in complete disarray

After Maryland stunned the ACC by winning its home opener against a less than 100% Miami Hurricanes squad, the remainder of the season has been a complete downward spiral. Last night Maryland faced Notre Dame in its own backyard at FedEx field losing 45-21. Though it was deemed a home game for the Irish, Maryland’s campus is only a short drive away. However, out of the 70,251 in attendance, the Terps representation was almost nonexistent. The Fighting Irish absolutely...

The Second Coming of Crist

As Jimmy Clausen checked out of ND early to head for the greener pastures of the NFL, QB Dayne Crist is ready to take center stage to lead the new look of the Fighting Irish. The 6’4” 235 pound junior, who says he fully recovered from last season’s ACL tear to his right knee, is ready to take orders from first-year coach Brian Kelly. I’m going to knock you out

It looks like Notre Dame’s star wide receiver is not immune to the law, even in his home state. This past Thursday at a house party near the frozen lakes of Minnesota, Michael Floyd was pounding some beers and drinking a couple of shots with his hometown pals. Apparently during the festivities, a fight involving 6-10 people broke out and spilled into the streets (at the intersection of 15th Av. SE and 6th St. SE) and Floyd wanted to...

Irish get lucky, Floyd cleared to play

There is good news and bad news to report out of South Bend, Indiana. For the good news, Irish fans will be getting a treat this Saturday as star WR Michael Floyd is making his long awaited return as he has been cleared to play against Navy this weekend. After breaking his collar bone 6 weeks ago against Michigan State, Floyd had successful surgery, went through rehab, and is now ready to make some big plays for the Irish. Prior to Floyd’s injury,...

Floyd ready to play?

In an ongoing effort to continue the exploitation of today’s college athletes, Charlies Weis is ready to suit up Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd after suffering a broken collarbone. If you don’t recall, earlier in the season, Floyd suffered from a broken left collarbone when landing awkwardly in the end-zone against the Spartans.  Apparently, his September 20th surgery was more successful than anticipated as the team is ready to suit up Floyd for this week’s practices. If things go well for Floyd, Weis is confident we will...

Floyd Looks Finished

Star Notre Dame wideout Michael Floyd will more than likely miss the rest of the 2009 football season with a broken collarbone. No solid timetable has been set for his return as of now but it would be highly optimistic to say that he will even make it back in time should Notre Dame get invited to a bowl game. Floyd underwent surgery early this morning in South Bend to repair his collarbone which was broken in Saturday’s win...
