U can’t touch this

From Miami’s opening TD drive to its aggressive defense, the Pittsburgh Panthers did not stand a chance of winning Thursday night’s game. The Hurricanes dominated on both sides of the ball trouncing the Panthers 31-3. Miami’s Jacory Harris wasn’t perfect as his tendency to throw interceptions haunted him again, but he did come out of Heinz Field the victor. Despite two picks, Harris was an impressive 21 of 32 for 2 TDs and 248 yards. Harris did give the...

“A” is for Awful

The barbershop talk this morning is all about the disappointing week 2 in the ACC. To start, #13 Virginia Tech and Coach Beamer were a complete embarrassment being shocked and upset by James Madison University 16-21 in hostile Lane Stadium. The Hokies showed no signs of discipline turning over the ball 3 times and QB Tyrod Taylor was unable to garner any offense during the upset. Jacory Harris is all thumbs up

Six months after surgery, Miami’s QB Jacory Harris is still recovering from the torn ligament damage sustained last season in his throwing hand. After the sudden departure of Miami’s two back-up QBs, coach Randy Shannon was flooded with QB transfer requests to play for the ‘Canes.   The flood of requests brought promise to the fans that the departure of Cook and Smith would be a distant memory. However, Shannon has faith in his QB and told reporters today that the program will not add any new QBs to...

Hurricanes downgraded to Category 1

QB Jacory Harris is ready to lead the charge for Coach Shannon and the Miami Hurricanes. Unfortunately, if Harris goes down, the Hurricanes will dwindle down to a light shower simply because they only have one back-up QB. In a surprise move, slated back-up QBs Taylor Cook and Cannon Smith both transferred from the program earlier this week.  This leaves only one back-up QB in Coral Gables. On Cook’s transfer, “I’m just going back home to play some football. If I go...
