The entire Miami Hurricanes offense is going to rest on the health of QB Jacory Harris. After the sudden departure of Miami’s two back-up QBs, coach Randy Shannon was flooded with QB transfer requests to play for the ‘Canes.
The flood of requests brought promise to the fans that the departure of Cook and Smith would be a distant memory. However, Shannon has faith in his QB and told reporters today that the program will not add any new QBs to its roster.
It’s obvious that Miami will have to hit the QB recruiting trail hard this season, but as of now, the position is very thin with very little depth, if at all. Let’s hope Shannon’s quick decision to say “No” to the tranfers proves to be wise.
