Miami bans boosters from sidelines

The Miami Hurricanes are tightening access between players and boosters thanks to ponzi schemer architect Nevin Shapiro claiming to have provided 72 players with extra benefits during an eight-year span.  Beginning this Saturday when Miami hosts #17 Ohio State, boosters are no longer allowed on Miami’s sidelines during home football games. Field access passes will be restricted and only handed out on a very limited basis.  Administrators, donors, trustees and even former Miami players, on certain occasions, will be...

Catholics vs. Convicts rivalry renewed

The Miami, Notre Dame rivalry will be revived during the 2012 college football season. The Hurricanes and Fighting Irish have agreed to a two game series which will kick-off on October 6th, 2012, at Chicago’s Soldier Field. What’s been more impressive  is the fact that the Hurricanes have been doing so minus a number of players from their defensive unit. Miami will have to do more of the same this Saturday as they travel to Orlando to take on the Univ. of Central Florida Golden Knights. Miami...

More Injuries for Miami

The Miami Hurricanes are entering tomorrow night’s showdown against Florida State with more injuries than a M*A*S*H episode. The ‘Canes will play Florida State tomorrow night down two defensive players. Defensive back Ryan Hill, and safety Vaughn Telemaque, were injured on Saturday during the last Miami practice before their season opener. The extent of the injuries are unknown, as Miami has only confirmed that the two suffered injuries to their “upper extremities”. Senior Ryan Hill played in 13 games for...

Down And Out In Miami

One can’t help but to feel sorry for Miami DE Eric Moncur. It looks as if the 6th year senior will more than likely miss Monday’s Sunshine State Showdown against Florida State with a groin injury. Moncur flew to Philadelphia on Monday to see a specialist and to get a second opinion on his groin discomfort . Moncur missed 9 games last year after suffering an abdominal muscle tear and was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA as a...
