An unsanctioned team building exercise was a complete failure for Sparty and the football team. Apparently 8 football players, including 3 starters have all been suspended from team activities for their involvement in a pre-Thanksgiving, November 22nd dorm fight. Basically, in an act of stupidity and in a fit of rage, the alleged football players stormed a fraternity gathering at Rather Hall by randomly hitting and injuring at least 7 students (both male and female). Michigan State’s Glenn Winston finally got what he deserved. If you don’t recall, Winston was the RB who beat the snot out of a Michigan State hockey player, A.J. Sturges.  The beat down earned Winston six months in jail plus probation. He was also indefinitely suspended from the football team, but, much to the dismay of the student body, Winston was subsequently reinstated after he served his time. Dantonio‘s Spartans are ranked #3 in the Big Ten and the team is struggling to find a new face in the running game. Currently, there are six young backs running for the job. Michigan State running back Glenn Winston, who’s current home is the Ingham County Jail, is schedule to be released on August 13th. Conveniently, his release is only 3 days after MSU’s first preseason practice (on August 10th). He is currently serving a 180 day sentence for misdemeanor assault and battery convictions in connection with a fight last fall.   Winston got in to a fist fight with A.J. Sturges, a MSU hockey player, causing severe head injuries which required hospitalization and rehab. ...
