Texas RB Vondrell McGee has been suspended for one game with the possibility of more depending on the outcome of his pending DWI case. Nebraska’s Taylor Martinez stole the headlines in the Huskers’ Red-White game on Saturday afternoon. The redshirt freshman QB filled in for injured starting QB Zac Lee. Lee underwent off-season elbow surgery on his throwing arm in early January which sidelined him for all of Nebraska’s spring practice. Yankee Stadium will be the site for the New Era Pinstripe Bowl which will take place on December 30th., 2010. The Pinstripe Bowl will feature the #3 team from the Big East and the #6 team from the Big XII. The two conferences, along with New Era and Yankee officials, agreed to play until the 2013 college football season. The 85th edition of the East West Shrine Game was played yesterday in Orlando, Florida.
