Brace yourself college football fans, two new bowl games have been approved by the NCAA and will be coming to a TV near you this holiday season. The New Era Pinstripe Bowl (New York, NY.) and the Dallas Football Classic Bowl (Dallas, TX.) were licensed and received approval for the 2010-2014 college football seasons. With the addition of these two games, the current bowl total is now at 35. While many feel that there are already more than enough bowl games, the NCAA did those fans a favor and rejected the bids for the Cure Bowl (Orlando, FL.) and the Christmas Bowl (Los Angeles, CA.).
The New Era Pinstripe Bowl will be played at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on December 30th., 2010. The Pinstripe Bowl will feature the third ranked Big East representative and the sixth best Big XII representative.
The Dallas Football Classic Bowl will be played at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX, on January 1st., 2011. The Dallas Football Classic will feature the seventh best team from the Big XII and the sixth best team from the Big Ten.
