Two Cougars have too much ganja, dismissed from team

Two Cougars have too much ganja, dismissed from team

The Washington State Cougars’ (2-10) roster was reduced by two today with the dismissal of safety Jamal Atofau and linebacker Andre Barrington. Back in October, the two redshirt freshmen were suspended from the team after Pullman police discovered 38 marijuana plants growing in the basement of their rental home. After the discovery, the university did not dismiss the players because officials were waiting for the investigation to conclude. However, head coach Paul Wulff finally had no choice but to dismiss the...

Kevin Wilson: Indiana’s new $8 million dollar man

Kevin Wilson became Indiana’s new $8 million dollar man by inking a seven-year $8.4 million dollar deal with the hopes of restoring an Indiana Hoosiers team that is arguably the worst team in the Big X. Some highlights include a $420.00 shopping spree at Best Buy (Capital One Bowl), a $250.00 Best Buy Gift Card (Chick-Fil-A bowl), and a Nikon S70 touch screen camera package (GoDaddy.Com bowl). The academic Heisman goes to Texas DE Sam Acho

Each season, the William V. Campbell Trophy, better known as the “Academic Heisman,” is awarded to college football’s top scholar-athlete. This prestigious accolade was recently awarded to Texas defensive end Sam Acho. Acho, a terrorizing player on the field, beat out Alabama QB Greg McElroy, Wisconsin QB Scott Tolzien, and FSU QB Christian Ponder. During his 2010 campaign, Acho led the Longhorns with 9 sacks and 17 tackles for loss. He finished the season with 59 tackles, five forced...

The Badger Herald: students going to Hell

The Badger Herald: students going to Hell

The Badger Herald, Wisconsin’s independent daily campus newspaper, does not like capitalism. With the Wisconsin Badgers earning a trip to the Rose Bowl, the University was allotted 5,800 tickets. Within 20 minutes, the tickets were sold out. Within 21 minutes, half of those tickets were for sale listed on third-party sites such as Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist. The face value was $150.00. The mark-up value is currently hovering around $400.00 a pop. Now I have no problem with turning a...

Early Christmas for Texas? OC Greg Davis Resigns

Early Christmas for Texas? OC Greg Davis Resigns

College football is about winning. What you did for the team yesterday has no implications for what you did for the team today. To many pleased fans, Texas OC Greg Davis is the latest to fall victim to this ridiculous mantra. The University of Texas confirmed offensive coordinator Greg Davis resigned from his position effective immediately. This abrupt shake-up may prove to be a panic move rather than a well thought out decision. Davis is steadfast and should be...
