The Badger Herald: students going to Hell

Studens apply capitalism tactics, turn profit off Rose Bowl tickets much to the dismay of The Badger Herald.

The Badger Herald, Wisconsin’s independent daily campus newspaper, does not like capitalism. With the Wisconsin Badgers earning a trip to the Rose Bowl, the University was allotted 5,800 tickets. Within 20 minutes, the tickets were sold out. Within 21 minutes, half of those tickets were for sale listed on third-party sites such as Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.

The face value was $150.00. The mark-up value is currently hovering around $400.00 a pop. Now I have no problem with turning a profit on tickets, but apparently the editors of The Badger Herald do not like this practice, “truly, there is a special place in Hell for people who buy Rose Bowl tickets with the sole intention of profiting from them.”

To call out those profiting from scalping tickets, the newspaper listed all the students by name who are the “worst” people on campus. Clearly this is a huge obnoxious mistake by the “maverick” staff who is taking this a bit too far, but you have to respect the pageantry for the game.

The Herald hereby declares that the below students are the worst people on campus.
