Fly with the Falcons

For the year, I’m 1-1 on my lock of the week. I should be 2-0, but Northwestern’s turnover late in the 4th quarter killed my undefeated streak. So if you are looking to make some money back, my lock this Saturday is Air Force over San Diego State. In the last 2 meetings, Air Force has won by over a combined total of 57 points. Air Force is going to run all over San Diego State as they lead...

Carroll to start injured Barkley

After a disheartening loss to Washington last weekend 13-16, Pete Carroll has had enough of Aaron Corp and will start QB Matt Barkley this Saturday. As Barkley takes snaps under center against Washington State, the question remains is he being thrown into the game prematurely? Carroll’s announcement seems a bit umbrageous, stating that Barkley’s bruised right shoulder has healed enough to put him back in the lineup. The phrase “has healed enough” should be a concern for fans and Barkley....

South Bend to lose the Hall

It looks like an historical landmark is going to pull away from South Bend, Indiana in the coming years. The Dallas Morning News is reporting that the College Football Hall of Fame is leaving the graces of South Bend and will find a new home in downtown Atlanta. Originally, it was anticipated that the Hall would attract at least 200,000 visitors per year. However, only a disappointing 65,000 would actually visit. The move to Atlanta (SEC  and ACC country) coupled...

WR Hancock out with broken jaw

Lane Kiffin is reporting that WR Quintin Hancock suffered a broken jaw in the Vols loss to Florida. Due to the injury, Hancock will not play in this Saturday’s match-up against Ohio University. The Vols’ offense has been struggling and will really miss Hancock’s presence. In the last three games, Hancock amassed...

Bradford is back?

For you Sooner faithful, it looks like Sam Bradford is back on the practice field. It appears he is taking a giant step forward in his recovery from his separated shoulder. Though he was very limited at practice, he was able to perform basic throwing drills from 5 to 10 yards. Coach Bob Stoops does not want to speak on a time table for Bradford’s return, but the Sooners favorable schedule may allow just enough time for Bradford to...
