For you Sooner faithful, it looks like Sam Bradford is back on the practice field. It appears he is taking a giant step forward in his recovery from his separated shoulder.
Though he was very limited at practice, he was able to perform basic throwing drills from 5 to 10 yards. Coach Bob Stoops does not want to speak on a time table for Bradford’s return, but the Sooners favorable schedule may allow just enough time for Bradford to be ready for the big showdown against Miami on October 3rd.
Since Oklahoma has a bye this weekend, it will afford Bradford more practice time and preparation for the Miami game. This game is particularly important because of Miami’s recent success. If Oklahoma can take down Miami, it will vault the Sooners back into national championship talk.
Bradford is one of the nation’s efficient passers and without him on the field, the Sooners are severely handicapped.
