Notre Dame to stay true, for now

All throughout the web there is speculation regarding Notre Dame’s intentions as conference expansion talks loom. It’s no secret that the school, the boosters, and Coach Kelly want to disassociate themselves with any conference talk. The one telling fact that would indicate ND has no intentions of joining a conference is their future scheduling. Notre Dame and Miami are currently inking a 3 game deal. Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, and Brigham Young are playing a home-and-home series against the Irish in...

The school is also taking a financial hit as former coaches Ty Willingham and Charlie Weis are still on the payroll per their buyout agreements. In order to cure this financial downfall and to boost the school’s potential to make more money, the AD is looking...

“O Canada,” forget it, no one cares

Not that this should come to a surprise to college football fans, but the International Bowl committee has decided to end the chapter in another meaningless bowl.  Since the committee failed to renew its contract with the Big East, it decided to close the doors. If you don’t remember who played in last year’s International Bowl, you aren’t alone, as the bowl drew its lowest attendance since its inception when South Florida cruised past Northern Illinois 27-3. I hope...

Let the Litigation Begin

Disgraced University of South Florida coach Jim Leavitt is suing his former employer in an attempt to retrieve $7M from his now voided contract. Leavitt and his attorney, Will Florin, filed the 53 page lawsuit in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court last week under the grounds that he was wrongfully terminated by USF. The lawsuit contends that the school’s investigation was “biased, flawed, and legally unsupportable”. Leavitt was fired by USF in January after sources leaked that he physically assaulted one...
