FSU’s Appeal is Denied

Bobby Bowden’s New Year’s gift from the NCAA–a rejection letter. Rumors are speculating that the NCAA has rejected Florida State’s appeal in lieu of the school’s academic cheating scandal. For Bowden, this means that he may lose up to 14 of his 389 career victories. The exact number will be determined and enforced after a complete examination of every game in which ineligible players played. This news would be more meaningful if Florida State didn’t push Bowden to retirement....

How serious is Pryor’s injury?

During the New Mexico State game back on Halloween, Ohio State’s stud sophomore QB Terrelle Pryor suffered an ankle injury during the win that’s been nagging him ever since. Now it’s just been revealed that he has been dealing with another injury, a partially torn PCL in his knee. Mr. Neuheisel comes to Washington

UCLA got lucky this season by slipping into post season play. Tomorrow at 4:30 p.m EST, the Bruins (6-6) will face off against the Temple Owls (9-4) in the EagleBank Bowl in Washington, D.C. Irish in desperate need of a QB

Now that Brian Kelly has settled in South Bend and learned his way around the Guglielmino Athletics Complex, he has a major offensive issue to sort out. With the early departure of QB Jimmy Clausen and an ACL tear to the heir apparent Dayne Crist, Kelly does not have a QB with any collegiate experience. Unfortunately, the depth chart is not deep because Weis did not sign any top QB prospects in 2009. As of now, Kelly has only...

Every Rose Bowl has its thorn

The 96th Rose Bowl is getting a little more interesting as both Oregon and Ohio State are dealing with shrinking rosters. The Oregon Ducks have just announced that back-up WR Jamere Holland is academically ineligible for post season play. During the season, he amassed 13 catches for 199 yards and 2 TDs. The Eugene Register-Guard reported that this is nothing new for Holland and the Ducks as he has been dealing with academic issues all throughout his collegiate career....
