Erickson down, but not out

Erickson down, but not out

Arizona State’s Dennis Erickson stands strong. During the 3rd quarter of today’s game, one of his players, Gerell Robinson, was knocked out of bounds and as a result, accidentally ran into Erickson knocking out the veteran coach. Erickson, albeit a little woozy, got back up, sat on the sidelines, and then continued to coach Arizona State to a 27-14 victory over Washington State. When asked about the hit, Erickson stated, “they knocked me colder than a cucumber, I was...

Take A Timeout On The Flags

Take A Timeout On The Flags

College football is a game of passion, emotion, and energy. However, refs have taken it too far with penalizing every little celebration for excessive celebration. Many times, these calls have altered the outcome of the game which is totally ridiculous.  Last week Georgia’s A.J. Green caught the seemingly game winning touchdown against LSU with under a minute the go in the 4th quarter. After snagging the pass and scoring, Green was justifiably excited and celebrated with his teammates in...

Potts To Sit

Potts To Sit

Florida’s Tim Tebow may not be the only concussed QB to sit out on Saturday. TT will turn to former walk-on Steven Sheffield to lead the offense. Sheffield come off the...

Apparently, both bands played while the other team’s offense approached the line of scrimmage causing distraction. The rule is very clear that bands must stop once...

ESPN has the latest: Peter Wilkes, a walk-on punter at Southern Miss, is in critical condition at a Memphis, Tenn., hospital after being shot at his home in Union City, Tenn. Regional Medical...

The run game is getting weaker

The Michigan Wolverines are traveling to Iowa City for a huge game against the Iowa Hawkeyes Saturday night. Unfortunately, the Wolverines will be without their leading rusher as Carlos Brown is still recovering from a concussion suffered during Tuesday’s practice. Brown has not been listed on the team’s injury report, but sources close to the team confirmed his status. With Brown on the bench, Michigan’s Brandon Minor will have to fill his shoes. However, this will be a difficult...

This just in from Hattiesburg.
