Potts To Miss K-State Game

Florida’s Tim Tebow may not be the only concussed QB to sit out on Saturday. Texas Tech’s Taylor Potts suffered a concussion last week in Tech’s game against New Mexico which earned him an overnight stay in a Lubbock hospital. Unlike the secrecy surrounding Tebow, TT coach Mike Leach has made it know that Potts will sit this week as a precautionary measure.

TT will turn to former walk-on Steven Sheffield to lead the offense. Sheffield come off the bench last week and torched New Mexico’s defense for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns in a little over a half of work. The Red Raiders host Kansas State today and are hoping that Sheffield can pick up where he left off last week. Potts is recovering well and is more than likely only going to miss one week of action.
