The latest infraction occurred this past weekend when TE Mike Ragone was arrested for misdemeanor possession of marijuana after being pulled over for speeding. Player dies from head injury

Some tragic news is coming out of Portland, Oregon. On Sunday, Eastern Oregon’s Dylan Steigers died as a result of a head impact collision during the school’s scrimmage game. In the second to last play of the game, Steigers and other defenders dove to tackle the ball carrier. When Steigers got up, he walked over to the sideline, began vomiting, and suddenly needed emergency care. The service academies clearly play by a different set of standards when it comes to player discipline. Navy’s head coach Ken Niumatalolo dismissed slotback Marcus Curry from the team for violation of team rules. Though Niumatalolo didn’t provide exact details of Curry’s dismissal, his dismissal was linked to his poor academic history, demerits, and most recently his drug use.
