The Georgia Bulldogs received some good news today concerning Logan Gray when he announced that he’d be staying at Georgia. Gray made news a few weeks ago when it was rumored that he’d be transferring from Georgia, a move that had many in Athens worried given their lack of depth at the QB position. Gray, a QB on Georgia’s depth chart, was unhappy with the decision by head coach Mark Richt to tab Aaron Murray as the starter heading into fall practices.
Gray will stay with the team and will work primarily at wide receiver. This is the best move for Gray given UGA’s current QB situation. As of now, they’re carrying only two scholarship QBs on their roster. Gray could be the team’s starting QB by the third week of the season if Murray goes down with injury.
