Bryce Brown's cellphone did his talking Monday in Knoxville
Technology, you gotta love it. Tennessee running back Bryce Brown made it official yesterday that he’s leaving the program for good by sending a text message to head coach Derek Dooley. Yes, a text message. You stay classy Bryce! The RB had announced earlier this year that he intended to leave the program, but there was speculation that he might stay. Brown was scheduled to meet with Dooley yesterday to discuss his future with the team, a meeting that many in Knoxville hoped would yield forth the return of Brown to the Vols. However, Brown had other plans in mind. He skipped out on the meeting leaving Dooley high and dry, and sent him a text message informing him that he is a goner. To which Dooley more than likely repsonded: KThxBye.
Brown will probably end up at Kansas State but K-State head coach Bill Snyder will be sure to watch the situation with leery eyes as Brown seems to be quite the self-aggrandizer. According to Rivals.com, Brown was the nation’s top recruit in the 2009 class and chose Tennessee thanks in large to Lane Kiffin. When Kiffin bolted KnoxVegas, Brown decided to follow suit and leave too. Derek Dooley isn’t losing too much sleep over Brown’s departure as he’s cleaning house and rebranding Tennessee football. Buh bye Brown, u won’t b missed.
