Todd Named Auburn’s Starting QB

The Auburn Tigers have named Chris Todd their starting quarterback for the 2009 football season. This news ends the speculation for Auburn fans of who wondered who their QB was going to be. Todd beat out 4 other quarterbacks, including incumbent Kodi Burns. Todd originally started the 2008 season as Auburn’s QB but was sidelined with a shoulder injury. 15 Duke football players have been infected with the infamous swine flu. The Blue Devil football team is currently staying at a hotel off campus for summer workouts and the infected have been quarantined for now. Red Raider starting running back, Baron Batch is expected to miss between 3-6 weeks with some type of arm injury, according to ESPN‘s Joe Schad. This comes as very bad news for the Red Raiders, who will start with a new quarterback under center this season. The Biletnikoff Award goes to the nation’s top wide receiver every football season. The award was first given to Penn State’s Bobby Engram during the 1994 college football season.   There was some hitting on and off the field at UNC last month. Donte Paige-Moss, UNC’s highly touted recruit, was arrested last month for punching fellow teammate Hunter Furr during a dorm room altercation.
