Red Raider starting running back, Baron Batch is expected to miss between 3-6 weeks with some type of arm injury, according to ESPN‘s Joe Schad. This comes as very bad news for the Red Raiders, who will start with a new quarterback under center this season. Batch was expected to take some of the pressure off of Taylor Potts, who replaces Graham Harrell. Batch led the Red Raiders in rushing last year with 758 yards and 7 TDs. The type of injury sustained by Batch remains undisclosed, but Texas Tech is hoping to have him back by their Sept. 19th date against Texas. This is certainly bad news for Tech fans; hopefully, Batch heals sooner than later.
