USC’s Matt Barkley injured, Mustain takes reins

As easy as it was to be a Trojan fan during the Reggie Bush days, the true loyalists are being put to the test. Last night, USC got trounced by Oregon State 36-7. To make matters work, the Trojans’ beloved starter QB Matt Barkley injured his left ankle on the final offensive play of the first half for the Trojans. He was helped off the field, but eventually was carted to the locker room and was deemed finished for...

Illinois and Northwestern prep for one end zone

Because watching Illinois and Northwestern play at historical Wrigley Field isn’t interesting enough, it looks like the powers-that-be are adding an additional twist to the game by utilizing only one end zone. The play resulted in a helmet-to-helmet personal foul, but more importantly it ended the night for Brehaut. Brehuat tried to continue but he was suffering from concussion like symptoms that caused the team doctor to bench the dazed QB and forced Rick...

We all love Joe Paterno, I mean who doesn’t? But it’s kind of absurd and not to mention a waste of monumental time and money, that the U.S. House of Representatives will yield precious time out of their busy schedule to pass a resolution congratulating Penn State football Coach Joe Paterno on his 400th victory. The interesting part of H RES 1715 was not the speech but rather the vote. The final tally was 417-3. The question remains, who are...

Slasher Mitchell Cozad up for Parole in January

If you don’t recall the name Mitchell Cozad it’s probably because he has been incarcerated since 2007 for second degree assault of former University of Northern Colorado starting punter Rafael Mendoza. Back in 2006, Cozad was the second string punter for UNC. He begged and pleaded for the starting job, but his inability to actually punt the ball impeded his dream. Coaches were constantly on him to improve his punting and to work harder. Being taught to fight for...
